Structured cabling should be the backbone of your network

Structured cabling provides the backbone for a network or communication system and enabled integration of different systems. Computer Power Systems (CPS) is a recommended supplier of structured cabling solutions in Kenosha WI, Madison WI McHenry IL, Chicago, Elgin, Elk Grove, Gurnee and Joliet IL.

A structured cabling system consists of smaller standardised systems such as wiring, connectors, cable conduits, hubs, cabinets and more.

Any well-planned and properly installed structured cabling system should support voice, data and multi-media as well VoIP, PoE, wireless and security applications and solutions.  Standards are very important and your cabling system should comply with industry standard so that things can easily be changed and expanded without having to redesign the whole system or having to replace the cabling infrastructure. Your cabling solutions should also provide sufficient bandwidth so that all intended applications can function properly and efficiently.

Your structured cabling system should be designed and implemented in a way that allows the continuous flow of information and facilitates the sharing of resources. Your network should also accommodate growth and cater for changes in technology. Your cabling infrastructure should have a life cycle of at least 15 years and should be around far longer than your desktop, notebook or printer.

Structured cabling allows for devices to be connected to your network in order to facilitate communications, resource sharing and the exchange and distribution of information. So for example a number of different users can be connected into a workgroup that enables them to share printers, exchange files and work on a project simultaneously. Multiple servers can also be connected together using gigabit Ethernet standards that enable applications such as cloud based solutions.

If you want a network that is fast, expandable and complies with important industry standards then you should consult with CPS about a structured cabling solution.
