At CPS we specialize in the installation of all types of network cabling systems:

Ethernet
A LAN protocol introduced by Xerox in the early 70’s and standardized by Digital/Intel/Xerox (DIX) in the early 80’s with a transmission speed of 10 Megabits per second using a logical bus structure and carrier sense multiple access with collision detection.
Fast Ethernet
A LAN protocol first introduced by the IEEE Committee in 1995 which supports data transfer rates of 100 Megabits per second. See Ethernet.
Gigabit Ethernet
A LAN protocol first ratified by the IEEE Committee in 1998 which supports data transfer rates of 1 Gigabit (1,000 Megabits per second.)
10-Gigabit Ethernet
A LAN protocol first introduced by the IEEE Committee in 2005 which supports data transfer rates of 10 Gigabit (10,000 Megabits per second.)
FDDI
Fiber distributed Data Interface (FDDI) A token-passing network based on dual optical fiber rings. The network operates up to 100 Mb/s.
ATM
Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) A high-speed switching transmission protocol that utilizes payload packages organized into 53 byte cells to carry data.
